Famous Last words: Week 15

This week was review week so we did not have any new stories to read or to write. It was nice since it is dead week and finals are next week! Being able to have a break from the readings is always nice, because sometimes you just need a break. My other classes aren't too hectic this week since finals are next week. I have had a few big projects due, but other than that it has been good. Work has been very busy since we are in peak season. A few days ago at work I got hurt, and I am not sure how. I tried toughing it out, but I ended up having to tell my manager and he gave me a few days off to rest my shoulder. I am hoping it is nothing serious and a few days of rest will be the cure. One thing I am very excited about is I get to visit my family in Texas this weekend. Even though it will be a short trip I am thankful for any time I get to spend with them. Lastly I cannot believe the end of the semester is here. I would say I am sad, but I am totally not! Only one more semester to go!!!

Famous Last Words Week 12

This week went pretty smoothly compared to past weeks. I read Celtic Fairy Tales, and some of them were pretty interesting. I got everything turned in for the week except my storytelling for Wednesday. Its not that I didn't have time to do the storytelling post I just really don't like doing it so instead I make up for it by doing some extra credit. Hence why I am writing this post. I have to stay on top of things if I want to receive an A in the class, and if I don't receive an A in this class the only persons fault it will be is my own. There is no excuse for not receiving an A. I enjoyed reading some new peoples portfolios and their storybooks. For some reason the month of November is not as crazy as it has been in the past compared to other Novembers. It is nice because the month of November is usually pretty hectic in my personal life. This next week I get to visit home, and I am soooooo excited. I haven't been back in a few months so it will be nice to see everyone and get to go to a OU football game! I kept saying I was going to try and finish the class early, but I am just going to be real with myself. As long as I finish the class with an A, that will be fine by me. I probably could finish early if I didn't ever want any free time to be lazy, but I need my lazy time! Even if I finish the class early I won't have lazy time because I will have so many other things to do. Plus I work better on a deadline anyways! Only a few more weeks left!!!

Famous Last Words Week 11

This week was actually are pretty realizing week when it came to school. I was actually being kind of lazy and did not do all the assignments I should have done for this class. Hence why I am writing this post. I read Nursery Rhymes this week, and I really enjoyed them especially getting to read old ones I had forgotten about. Since I did read a bunch of nursery rhymes I did not write a storytelling post because I wasn't sure what to write about. My creativity side has been seriously lacking, and I just really do not enjoy writing the stories so when I do not absolutely have to I don't. I am glad we have the option of extra credit to make up for things like that. I did not get to read any projects this week, not because I was busy but because I was being lazy and just didn't do it in all honesty. None of my other classes really relate to this one at all, this class sticks out pretty differently from the other classes I am currently taking or will take by the time I graduate. My other classes are going well, I am slacking a little bit probably because I know once the end of November hits it is going to get hectic. So I guess I am trying to enjoy it while I can. I am thinking about getting a head start on some of the weeks ahead for this class so I can somewhat finish early. Work is finally going smoothly, but right when school gets hectic work is also going to get hectic. It will take some getting used to but I am sure I can do it if I would just stop procrastinating, but hey that’s about the only thing I am good at. So ready for the semester to be over!

Famous Last Words: Week 8

Let me just say I really needed this week. I am not sure why, but it is really really hard for me to keep up with this class. I spend a lot of time on this class each week since I do pretty much every assignment on the day it is due. Being able to get all the work done at the beginning of the week without making my head hurt too much was SO nice! This next half of the semester I am going to try and look at it differently. What I could do better to make it easier is spend more time when picking stories to read. Also doing extra credit will help me finish the class early, so I can focus on all of my other classes. It will help me a lot buy doing that, because I have a TON of big projects for other classes due in December. This week I liked reading about how other people felt about the class so far. It made me feel like I was not the only one on some of the things I was thinking about it. All in all this was a good week for school, work, and home life. We have had some visitors this week so I was grateful for the review week! Things are going smoothly for me at work since I finally know what I am doing after being there for a month. When I first started my job I was a little scatter brained so I missed a pretty important quiz in one of my classes. It put me pretty far behind, but finally today I finally reached an A even with a zero for a quiz so that was pretty exciting. My goal this semester is all As, because it is very achievable I just have to put forth the effort

Famous Last Words Week 7

So this week my reading did not go so well, and that is probably my fault. Instead of looking for something I was actually going to like I went with the shortest one I could find since I knew I was going to have a busy week. The stories I was reading were so hard to read, and they barley kept my attention. I definitely won't do that again because I didn't even write my storytelling post. Now I am trying to do some extra credit to make up for not doing my storytelling. Other than that I had a pretty good week in some of my other classes. I had my first real exam in one of my classes, and I scored pretty good on it so that did make me feel better. Recently I started a new job and was worried I wasn't going to learn it very easily, but I have surprised myself, and everyone around me. My goal for these next few weeks is to get as much work in this class done as I can since we are going to have a lot of visitors at our house. No one wants to hangout with someone who is always doing their homework, so we will see how that goes. One sad note about this week was OU lost to Texas. How is that even possible? I hope we can turn it around next week, because I sure cant take watching another beating like that. Kansas State didn’t look to bad against TCU so we better come prepared! I cant believe the semester is almost half way over, and at the end of this month I will be enrolling in my last semester of college. Hoping I can finish the semester our as strong as I started it!
